I recommend this series of quilt books. It has everything you need to learn to needle turn applique, plus it has beautiful patterns. This book has great photos and directions, so that you come away with confidence in your own ability.
Good book for finding good Hawaiian quilt blocks for making an Hawaiian quilt. Has a good variety. If you are interested in making an Hawaiian quilt, this is a great book for ideas.
Very nice book on Hawaiian Appliqué with some great patterns and techniques. Some of the designs are repeated in other volumes as well.
I have all of the books in this series. I have loved Hawaiian quilts for years since my first trip to Hawaii 30 years ago. All of the designs are from nature so they make sense and are beautiful.
I am fairly new to Hawaiian quilting; I am nearly finished with my fourth block and I think that the designs in this book are great. The directions in this book have you cut the design from the fabric and then baste it to the background. To anyone starting I would probably suggest trying the freezer paper method instead because I would be afraid of any raveling of the fabric. Other than that the designs are creative and imaginative. I cannot wait to try the designs in Poakalani's other two volumes.

I loved the patterns in this books, but the history of Hawaii was even better
I purchased this item as I now live in FL but still do the Hawaiian quilting so I just added this one to my collection.
