I bought this book for my 9 year old son who has a tendency to focus on the negative aspects of life. I really like the layout of the book. There is a mood scale for the day, a place to draw pictures, and another place where they list out some good things that happened that day.
I was expecting heavier duty book. This is soft cover, thin bound and thin pages, and every page layout is exactly the same. ( see pic) not at all what I expected for the price. I can just use a spiral notebook for $.50 and write the same thing on top, or even better-ask a different question each day.Pros- cute cover
This is a great journal for my 10yr old son. We are actually using the pages to practice several school skills over the summer. There are plenty of lines for writing, and the open space is good for drawing (or working out math problems).
Very jarring to me, but not really so for the kids likely, thin paper, will only accept pencil, but guess thats ok for target elementary age audience. But seeing a mis-spelling everyday? gets my goat! If it costs more send it back, will end up in recycle bin
The cover image looks like it was blown up from a small image and then copied onto it, so the quality is not great. That would have been ok, if the journal itself was more "leading". Instead, it's just a blank notebook. I was hoping it would prompt him to think of things he was grateful for like "What is the best gift you've ever been given" or "What could you not live without", things to get his mind thinking about what he's grateful for, but instead each page is blank and you write down what you want.
Good gift for a boy.
I dislike that happiness in the book is spelled misspelled happyness. The graphics on the cover are poor quality
The inside is good but the outside has very poor printing quality. Had it been better, I'd give it 5 stars
