Abigail Breslin is an Academy Award-nominated actress and musician. Starring in her first film, Signs, at the age of five, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress a few years later for her role in Little Miss Sunshine. OH WOW I READ THIS BOOK IN 56 minutes its so amazing I just love this book. Abigail will become your BFF after you have a good read. She tells about breakups, Family, and More, CHECK IT OUT SHE IS AMAZING PERSON I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED HER. ENJOY IT. SHE IS AMAZING SHE CAN HELP YOU IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS SHE CAN HELP YOU WITH HER BOOK.
Abigail Breslin has a book?! Okay so I was intrigued but not impress. Lots of celebrities have books now. Why should Breslin be any different? One day I was bored and wandering around, so I picked of Breslin's book just to take a look at it. I scanned it as I was waiting and found that I really liked the unique style that the book was written in. I don't know if that was Breslin's idea or the editor's but I was very intrigued and wanted to read further. I decided to order my own copy. Little did I know that I would devour this book in a two hours. Did I get much out of this book...no but it wasn't written for me. It is written for teenagers. Specifically the ages of 15-18. Breslin even throws a bit in there about drinking in London, so you can even include some young 20 year olds in there.I loved the way the book was done. I think it is great and fun. Breslin has a great voice. It is unique and all her own. I think for her first book as a teenager is good. It isn't a fantasy novel it is more about Breslin's advice to girls like her. The biggest issue I had been the abbreviations, hastages, nicknames like "bae." People really need to stop using the word "bae." Do people not know that "bae" means poop in Danish? Anyway getting off topic. I liked Breslin's unique voice about her life and her experiences. I look for unique books like this because I am trying to find my own unique voice as a writer. It is nice to see that people can do things that are nontraditional. I think people shouldn't be so harsh. This book has a bit of a tumblr theme to it. I can see that it may annoy some people and others may like it. I love that it is different.
Not good ...
When I saw this I thought it might be fun to read. Having an insight into Abigail Breslin's life was an interesting experience to say the least. She's actually a regular person (who knew?) and very relatable, throughout the book she mostly gives advice about the dos and don'ts of dating in this modern world of ours while telling funny, weird, and sometimes embarrassing stories of her real life experiences. Sprinkled with a few fun poems and tales of her Christmas obsession, this is a very unique read. It's definitely short, about 200 pages and is mostly written for the newest generation, with stories of the three T's, texting, twitter, and tumbulr. Things that most teenagers and twenty somethings will identify with. It probably won't be so enjoyable for people outside of that target audience, but it is very funny, and I enjoyed it, much more than I thought I would. I recommend this to young people looking for something fun to read that is perfect if you're going through some ups or downs in a relationship and want something to cheer you up.
Amazing book! I was wandering around barnes and came across this just before i left. Abigial is one of my FAVORITE actresses of all time, and HAD to read her book, even though i wasnt exactly the audience that was intended.I was blown away by the book. Shot through all 205 pages in a couple hours. It's a book all about dealing with love and loss for girls in their late teens (girls around her age). Abigail wrote this book filled with advice about different situations in young love, but written more like you're texting with your best friend! She sometimes uses whole pages to write something emotional for her like "HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND?!?!?!". She also uses a lot of slang such as 'bae" and text like "omg" or "idk"This book is probably the perfect writing for girls growing up in the internet era. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because i wish there was more to read! Abigail Breslin is suprisingly a VERY GOOD writer!!! Very inspiring, and I will be purchasing a few copies for my friends who could use some of her advice!
I like Abigail Breslin as an actress, so when I saw this at my local library I was curious and decided to give it a try. I am older than the intended audience, but was still interested. It is a quick read, it is very young sounding and is vapid and immature at times. She uses the new "cool" slang for words, such as "bae" and "the feels" to try to connect with the teenage audience. The advice was pretty decent though at times, other times it was just silly and old fashioned.
I was lucky enough to find this book in a dollar tree for a dollar And OH MY GOD WAS IT WORTH IT 💗
