This book is an excellent refresher for things that I've done in my past years. I found it very useful to go back and fortify my memory with tricks that the author has included in the book. The essay section in this edition has been greatly improved upon. The author has added new tactics to writing essays that could really help you in the long run. However, the math section is very similar to the Second Edition. I was expecting more of an in-depth explanation on these topics. Other than that, a job well done to the author for a well written book. Congratulations!
I liked it because it provided a good sample test for math along with many different lessons that are very helpful. Also, it provided an outstanding essay section which pinpoints on what you should not write in your essay and how to make it better.
Finding prep materials for the BCA entrance exam is not easy, and this book offers an excellent test prep tool for students. The material is well organized, and offers a comprehensive review of concepts requiring mastery on the BCA exam. I would definitely recommend this prep guide to students interested in attending BCA.
This was really helpful. The first few chapters are pretty basic, {everybody applying to BCA should know most or all of the first few chapters already}, but the practice problems were really useful, because as they say, practice makes perfect!
Excellent guide for my son to prepare for BCA test
This book is worth maybe $2.50 not $25. I opened the package to see a really poor quality, stretched out cover picture. That was my first hint of the quality inside and, in this case, "you can judge a book by its cover!" The pages of the book are literally like someone printed out a bunch of bad HTML and some notes and bound it together into a book. The content is just as bad...none of the challenging problems and detailed explanations I hoped for were in this book! If I could give it less than 1 star I would.I only just noticed the earlier editions (this is the 3rd) got terrible reviews. Clearly nothing much has changed. I suspect the 3rd edition exists only to get away from the poor reviews of the earlier editions. I just wish I saw those reviews earlier. Don't waste your money on this one.

Note: I bought the older edition last year and was given this updated one for free to review.I am a Math Tutor in Bergen County and this is the only book out there to help independent tutors prepare students for the Bergen Academies Exam. I was disappointed in the original version, I found it too easy in comparison to the sample questions and exam that is posted on the Bergen Academies website. However, this version has definitely been improved. The new Math test is formatted with similar level questions to the sample test that Bergen has posted. I would not use this book as your only source for prepping for the exam. However, I do believe this book is a must for any student looking to prepare for the exam. Some of the math practice drills seem easy and long, but the test doesn't allow a calculator so doing them should be a must so that students are confident in their basic skills.
